"What is visible inside you?" - Ypsilanti Street Art

One of the things I love about Ypsi is that there's art everywhere. Every now and then I'm walking around and I'll see a new yarn bomb around a lamp post or some new chalk drawing out front of Beezy's. It's not something I think too much about, but it's definitely something I look forward to when I'm out and about.

A little bit ago, I was in Depot Town and I saw this piece. It invited people to tell a truth about themselves that they keep hidden. I thought it was oddly powerful and surprising to see some of things people wrote.

While many of the experiences expressed weren't revelations, I definitely appreciate the moment of honesty and reflection it brought about in me. I also appreciate that it gave people a space to tell their truth and leave it out for the whole world to see. It's inspiring.

Ypsi is such a cool place to live sometimes.
